The heart rate on the watch face is NOT synced with Samsung S Health, Google Fit or any other apps. It works independently. You need to tap on the HR field to measure your heart rate. Also, make sure that the display is turned on and that the watch is properly worn on the wrist.

Make sure you have enabled all permissions from settings -> apps.
This watch face was developed using Samsung’s new “Watch Face Studio” tool for the new WearOs Google / One UI Samsung based devices like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
As new software, there may be some problems with functionality at first.

All changes can be saved and retained after restarting the watch.

Tap the HR field to measure your heart rate. Please wait a moment for accurate results. Note, the heart rate on the watch face is NOT synced with Samsung S Health, Google Fit or any other apps. It works independently. You need to tap on the HR field to measure your heart rate. Also, make sure that the display is turned on and that the watch is properly worn on the wrist. During measurement, the heart symbol will flash and after a few seconds the new HR value will appear on the watch face.
