Jérôme Bruhat Named Deputy Chief Executive Officer Robertet – WWD

PARIS – There’s a change of guard going on at Robertet, the world’s largest nature aroma and flavor maker.
Jérôme Bruhat has been appointed deputy chief executive officer of the group, effective February 1. The former L’Oréal chief executive joins Robertet, where Philippe Maubert is president and chief executive officer. After the Robertet general assembly in June, Maubert will assume the role of non-executive chairman, while Bruhat steps up to the CEO position.
Bruhat has spent more than three decades at L’Oréal. Most recently, since 2015, he has held the position of president of L’Oréal in Japan, developing various divisions of the group there. His other jobs at the French beauty giant include global brand director of Maybelline New York and president of L’Oréal Germany.
In 2021, Robertet generated revenue of 606 million euros, up 12.7% on reported terms and 14.9% at fixed exchange rates compared to 2020. According to the division, revenue increased 12%. for raw materials, 16% for aroma and 8 percent for flavor during this period.
“Amid a volatile global economy, the group has been able to claim a leadership position in all natural product lines – a guarantee of independence – while ensuring that its ambitious development on social and environmental responsibility, Robertet said in a statement.
Two of its competitors, Givaudan and Firmenich, made unwanted entries into Robertet’s capital, taking minority stakes, respectively, in early 2020 and late 2019.

Robertet was founded in 1850 in Grasse, France and is largely owned by the Maubert family. The company is traded on the Euronext Paris market.
