Jeannie Mai is becoming frank about motherhood! As previously reported, Jeannie, 43 years old and rapper Jeezy(born Jay Jenkins) 44 years old, shared earlier this month that they welcoming their first child together into the world. Now, the 43-year-old talk show host is talking about her first weeks as a new mom. Straight Instagram post shared on Monday (January 24), Jeannie Mai Jenkins admits that the “fourth trimester” is the most difficult. She writes,

“Being a new mom is the most exhilarating moment I’ve ever experienced in my life – nothing prepared me for the postpartum period. NOTHING. No book I’ve read, or advice I’ve received, could have summed up ALL of the things I needed just to sit, lie down, walk, or even hold my baby…. The 4th trimester is still the hardest, but I’m a happy, healing mom here. # after birth “

She was even more open-minded in replying to one social media user, revealing that her hormones were up all over and she couldn’t stop crying. She speaks,

“Hormone…. Girl I can’t control my crying. Good news or bad news both confuse me. Then you see a dark hole that you CAN get into, but you have to fight it anyway to avoid depression – that’s CRAZY. ”

Truth The co-host recently revealed the name of her baby and boasted it was a brand new nursery in a video on her YouTube page, titled ‘Hello Hunnay’, where she confirmed that the name of his newborn baby is Monaco Mai Jenkins.

Jeannie reflect on a previous trip to Monaco, France that she took with her her husband Jeezy and share why they decided to name their child after the city. On that trip, she said, they “established what was going on for” them.

She added,

“That’s really the incubator theme: what is Monaco. Family, moments, travels, discussions, key points in my life and Jeezy’s life have brought Monaco here.”

Although Jenkins have shared the name of their child and the inspiration behind it, the couple have yet to reveal Monaco’s gender.
