Japan closes borders to all new foreigners in response to variant omicron
Starting Tuesday, Japan will ban non-resident foreigners, including business visitors, international students and foreign workers, from entering the country. The ban applies to all countries, not just those with confirmed cases of the omicron variant. Japanese citizens and foreign residents are exempt.
