Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence expected to be ready for training camp

As Jacksonville Jaguars training camp draws closer, the focus will be on the franchise more than ever. While Urban Meyer and Tebow’s heart is generating a lot of interest, fans are even more excited about the franchise midfielder Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence, the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has had a slow start to the season. He has a hamstring injury put him aside for minicamp and it took longer than expected signed his rookie contract. But in the end, there’s good news for Jaguar.

In an appearance on Sports Centre, ESPN NFL insider Dan Graziano provided a promising update on Lawrence’s possible training camp readiness.

“He will be fine, from what I understand, to start training camp. The problem, of course, is that he doesn’t have as much quest time as he’d like at this point. His performance has impressed the Jaguars. It will be a race for Trevor Lawrence to learn as much as he can about the offense and get ready for Week 1.”

Jacksonville clearly played it safe with the face of the franchise. Lawrence spent most of the minicamp aside with the intention of giving him enough time to heal. While it will allow rookies to fully participate at the start of training camp, it also comes at a cost.

Lawrence won’t have the practice representation in offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell’s offense that other rookies have around the league. Midfielder of the New York Jets Zach Wilson and the new Chicago Bearss Justin Fields Both have impressed the players and coaches, all of whom are exploring their plans.

It will make the pre-season even more important for the Jaguars quarterback. Although he had time to study the books, implementing it in practice and game situations was another challenge.

Fortunately, it was a minor setback that didn’t stop him from opening the season as a starting midfielder. He may have trouble early on, adjusting to the NFL pace, but Lawrence is a generational talent for a reason and it won’t be long before we see his skills on display.
