J. Hannah’s ‘Ugly’ Compost nail polish

J. Hannah’s famous jewelry designer Jess Hannah Révész created neutral nail polish to complement the artistically made-up hands of the “anti-color”. The resulting shades are very attractive, very hard to find elsewhere, and to be proud of jolie-laide, like the newcomer, “Compost.” A gray ’90s olive, it’s an homage to the divisive Pantone 448C, a shade so striking that it’s been nicknamed the “ugliest color in the world“By market researchers.
While it’s inspired by old organic waste, it’s a breath of fresh air amidst all the cherry reds and expected Ballet Slippers. Two coats will go well with an all-black winter ensemble and jewel tones for special occasions. Giving away the green gem this season is a great reminder that one person’s trash is indeed another’s treasure.
