Israel announces completion of security fence around Gaza
During the fighting in May, Hamas used a complex system of tunnels inside Gaza but prevented fighter jets from entering Israel. The group fired more than 4,000 rockets at Israel in 11 days, with large projectiles sometimes overwhelming Israel’s complex missile defenses.
