Treat yourself! After having a baby and going through a crazy year admittedly, Iskra Lawrence Make it a task to take care of yourself.
She enjoyed a bit of “me time” by starting her workouts at a high speed. And while “feeling like yourself again” is a major motivator, getting some cute new workout gear certainly doesn’t matter.

But that’s a thing of the past, as Lawrence makes sure she feels trendy before breaking a sweat. “Now, when I go to the gym, I put on some mascara. To really commit, she even cleaned out a bit of the closet. “I definitely got rid of a lot of old clothes that were still working – a lot. While it may have been my greatest joy, I’m still like, ‘I deserve better,’ she said. Stylish.
“Even the phrase ‘I deserve better’ shows that you deserve to wear something you feel like…especially when it involves moving because people are afraid of it. So if it’s the outfit that gets you up and going, that’s what you need to do.”

“You didn’t work out unless you took a selfie of yourself working out,” laughs Lawrence. “And you know – why should anyone feel bad about that? Or embarrass people for doing it? While one part of the puzzle is responsible, the other part is finding a form of movement that works for your body and your life. Working out consistently also helps the model “appreciate my body better.” While on a mission to “feel my best,” Lawrence has also had to change the way he sees his own role in the “body acceptance community.”
“I think I pushed back the workout because I almost didn’t want to a.) Activate people and b.) I want more rolls and more cellulite and all the things that people might be afraid of, ‘ said Lawrence We. “There’s a part of me that feels that if I had more of that, I would be able to say more and help more people accept those things.”
