Is World Trigger Season 4 Officially Confirmed?

After being delayed for a week, the final episode of World Trigger Part 3 was released recently. Now, anime fans wonder if Toei Animation plans to refresh the series for Season 4. Well, here’s everything you need to know about it.

World Trigger is an anime adaptation of a Japanese manga series by Daisuke Ashihara. Toei Animation premiered the first season of World Trigger back in 2014, there were about 70 episodes. The season was well received by the community and ended in 2016.

Then, in 2021, the studio brought the series back for two more seasons, with the old cast reprising their roles. But now, the third season has also come to an end after bringing us an incredible 14 episodes.

Will World Trigger get season 4?

As of this writing, Toei Animation has not officially announced Season 4 of World Trigger cartoon. That said, there’s a good chance the Japanese anime will get a refresh for another season.

Similar to the previous two seasons, the third season of World Trigger was well received by anime fans. In fact, for some fans, Season 3 is by far the best season of the entire show. Originally, Toei Animation planned to release two second installments of the second season, but instead, they decided to go with a whole new season of the series. So honestly, it would be crazy if Toei Animation abandoned the series after just three seasons.

Additionally, some reports suggest that Season 3 adapted the story up to Volume 22 of the manga. So far, 24 episodes of World Trigger was published, so the studio has enough material to give us another season of the anime.

Is there a release date for World Trigger Season 4?

Of course, we’ll have to wait for any official confirmation from Toei for a release date for the next season. However, if the studio plans to bring the film back, we could have a new season in late 2022 or the first half of 2023.

The studio released the third season of World Trigger just a few months after the end of Season 2. So if the sequel’s episode count remains below 15, the studio may not take more than a year to bring the show back to us.
