Is the Doman reconstruction worth it? – FandomSpot

The Doman Enclave Reconstruction is well worth going through for charming furnishings and items that you won’t be able to get anywhere else, such as the Yanxian Merchant’s Ame-zaiku or Haori set. It’s a quest line that shows how the Dominicans rebuilt their home after being liberated from Garlean rule.

Passing the quest line doesn’t take much effort either, as you’ll mostly just be running around the Enclave talking to NPCs and watching some cutscenes.

However, some quests are time limited, so you’ll only be able to get up to a certain number of story points each week.

Once you reach the quest line timings section, you’ll only be able to resume after the weekly reset on Tuesdays at 3 a.m. EST.

How to Unlock Doman Reconstruction

To get started with the Doman Enclave’s reconstruction efforts, you’ll need to complete the 70 level quest “Precious Reclamation” from Kozakura in the Doman Enclave (X: 7.2, Y: 7.3).

This quest will be available after completing the Level 70 Main Scenario Quest “Excitement and Trembling”.

To continue the story after “Precious Reclamation”, you will need to complete the grant quest 54 “Short Arm of the Law”. This is part of another quest line called “Doman Adventurers Guild” that takes place in Mor Dhona.

Doman’s Reconstruction Process

Once you’ve unlocked the Doman Reconstruction, you can progress with it by donating items to the Shazenkai – a group of Domans working to restore the Doman Enclave.

Shazenkai is led by a woman named Kozakura.

To donate items to Shazenkai, go meet Kozakura, who is found at the Doman Enclave (X: 7.2, Y: 7.3) and interact with the Donation Basket right next to her.

When donating to Shazenkai, you will receive a bonus equal to 120% of what you would get for selling the same items to a normal NPC vendor.

Shazenkai has a weekly budget for the bonuses given to players.

This means that after donating a certain number of items, you will need to wait for the weekly reset to continue.

As you donate more items and proceed with reconstruction efforts, Shazenkai’s weekly budget for bounties will slowly increase. Several side quests will also appear around the Enclave, providing cutscenes showing how the reconstruction is going.

Reclamation Box / FFXIV

Items that have been donated by chance can be retrieved from the Reclamation Box near Kozakura.

Note: Logging out or changing areas will lose any items inside the Reclamation Box.

As the quest line’s story progresses, you’ll see obvious changes to the Doman Enclave such as fewer shards, repaired buildings, and more NPCs.

In addition to the gil received as a bonus from giving items to Shazenkai, you will have access to Junkmonger sell items not available anywhere else.

This Junkmonger NPC will spawn at the Doman Enclave (X: 6.9, Y: 7.9) after you have donated items worth 110,000 gil to the Enclave Reconstruction.

More items will be available from Junkmonger as you progress through the Recreate Doman quest line. Here’s a quick look at the items you can buy from Junkmonger in the Doman Enclave:

The Yanxian Trader’s Haori was a level 1 item of dyed equipment, so it was mainly used for seduction purposes. It is also the outfit that Kozakura will wear in the later part of the quest line.

Haori is a reward for completing the quest “Light the way”, which ends the Doman Reconstruction storyline. It will also be available for purchase from Enclave’s Junkmonger if you throw it away for any reason.
