Is Kyle Crane in Dying Light 2?

In the original Dying light In the game, the player assumes the role of protagonist Kyle Crane, an undercover agent for Global Relief Effort (GRE) who has been brought to the fictional city of Harran in the Middle East to retrieve a sensitive file. In the end, he severed ties with the GRE and joined a group of survivors from the Tower on a quest to find a cure.
At the end of the first game (front spoilers), Crane finds the research he needs and gives it to Dr. Camden, rather than to the GRE, who are planning to weaponize it. Crane chooses to stay in the city and help more survivors.
However, after the events of Dying Light: The following DLC (adds spoiler ahead), Crane is forced to make a choice before the Mother, a sentient volatile who leads a cult known as the Children of the Sun. If Crane listens to her, she will lead him to a nuclear warhead which he activates, destroying (or purifying if you ask the Mother) all of Harran. If he defies her, she will attack him and force him to consume an elixir that turns her into a volatile. Crane defeats her, but he ends up getting infected while in an area populated with civilians.
So, can Crane make it to the sequel?
