Déjà Vu isn’t a perfect perk, but one that can be incredibly useful.
If you’re having trouble finding generators, or just want an efficient way to find multiple generators at once, Déjà Vu is worth a try.
Since the perk shows three generators at once, you’ll have a solid headline right from the start of the game. Just keep in mind that the generators revealed by Déjà Vu could be quite a long way off!
What causes deja vu?
The Déjà Vu perk prevents you from having to search too long for a generator, as it shows you the auras of three generators right at the start of the game.
These generators are the ones closest to each other on the map.
The advantage of this is that you can switch from one generator to the next more easily.
Upgrading this perk will give you more time to actually make it to the generators shown.
When fully upgraded, Déjà Vu will last for a full minute.
Along with finding generators easier, you will also get a speed boost when repairing those generators. While other generators repair at the typical rate, generators exhibited by Déjà Vu grant you a 5% repair speed boost.
Using Déjà Vu with a card
When you combine the Déjà Vu benefit with a card, you get even more benefits.
The generators located by Déjà Vu are automatically added to your map so you can find them later and even show their location to other survivors.
Because of this, survivors who may be closer to these generators than you are have the opportunity to quickly find them and get to work!
Demise of the Déjà Vu Advantage
Déjà Vu is a solid benefit overall, but it has one important downside.
The generators displayed by the perk are guaranteed to be relatively close together, but they may not be close to you.
In some cases, you may find that the generator’s auras are on the opposite side of the map from where you spawned.
In other words, you could end up in a race to reach these generators before the bonus runs out.
In the meantime, you may be overhauling nearby generators that you could work on.
To offset this issue, it’s a good idea to either bring a map or remember the general location of the deja vu generators if they’re far from your spawn point.
This is how you get a déjà vu
Déjà Vu is a general perk, meaning whether or not your character can obtain it entirely up to luck.
General perks like these can appear in any character’s bloodweb at any time. There are no level requirements and you don’t have to spend anything other than blood points to get it.
Just keep your eyes peeled and there’s a good chance it’ll show up in the Bloodweb sooner or later!
