Iranian farmers protest, ask to release water from the dam

In 2012, farmers clashed with police in a town in Isfahan province, bursting a pipeline that transfers about 50 million cubic meters of water a year to a neighboring province. Since then, similar protests have continued sporadically and the government has at one point paid around $250 to each family affected by the crisis.
