IO Interactive investigates Hitman 3 crash issues on Xbox consoles

One of the first examples of the power of PS5 and Xbox Series X We, Hitman 3 It received solid critical reviews when it launched, but it didn’t resonate as much commercially. Fortunately, Hitman 3 just got a big update, introducing tons of new features and laying the groundwork for future content drops. Unfortunately, it also causes problems for fans on Xbox consoles.

Players have recommended restarting the console and reinstalling Hitman 3 as potential fixes, but that doesn’t seem to help everyone. Fortunately, IO Interactive is aware of the issue and is investigating a potential fix, which will be phased out soon.

IO Interactive has acknowledged the issue, saying that it has identified the root cause of the problem and is working towards a patch on its Zendesk board. On Twitter, the developer confirmed that they are also working to “escalate” to implement a fix, although it’s not entirely clear what that escalation entails. However, technical details aside, it should at least reassure fans concerned about the issue, which effectively shows Hitman 3 cannot be played.

While these kinds of problems are never fun to solve, it’s a particularly bad time to Hitman 3 experience them. It’s mostly out of the conversation throughout 2021, as bigger games are released, dominating online trends and award shows. However, the beauty of modern games is that they can come back and Hitman 3 Year 2 seems ready to do so with Agent 47 and a bunch of updates. Startup problems are not the correct way to sell experiences, even with Hitman 3’s high critical point.

However, fans should be aware that issues such as Hitman 3 experiencing problems is not uncommon, and some of last year’s highest profile games have had to go through them. Battlefield 2042 shared problems, and Halo Infinite still grappling with issues related to the Big Team Battle that has been going on for weeks. That’s not an excuse, but live service games are hard to maintain.

With any luck, Hitman 3Your problem will be solved with relatively little fuss. Unfortunately, there’s not much players can do other than wait for the issue to be resolved, although it would encourage IO Interactive to provide as many resources as possible to fix the problem.
