Interviews with Monster Girls Manga to end in Fall 2022

The supernatural comedy series announced it is coming to an end in the 10th volume of the collection.


Petos’ Interview with Monster Girls story will end with the 11th volume, slated for release in the fall of 2022. The announcement was made in the 10th volume of the series, which was released last Thursday.

The series began serialization in 2014 and was serialized in the 3rd issue of Kodansha’s Youth Magazine but moved to Monthly Youth this year.

The series is about a biology teacher named Tetsuo Takahashi, who is interested in studying the demihuman lives in the world around him. The series focuses on Tetsuo as he gets to know various demihuman students while documenting the details of their daily lives.


An anime adaptation was released in Winter 2017 and streamed by Crunchyroll as it aired. Funimation streamed the English dub of the series on their platform shortly after.

NS the anime runs for 12 episodes with the ONA released a few months after it ended. A-1 Pictures is producing the series, with Ryo Ando directing and Takao Yoshioka writing the script. Ando directed episodes of One Punch Man and eighty six, while Yoshioka has worked on series like Elfen lie, work !!, and most recently Horimiya.

ONE manga side story titled, Can’t talk to mystical girls, started posting serials in 2019. Like Monster Girls, Magical Girls was first published in Kodansha’s Youth Magazine in the 3rd issue and was moved to Monthly Youth Magazine the same month as its predecessor.

The series is written by Kae Hoshimoto and illustrated by Hajime Honda, and has a total of seven volumes collected hitherto.

Kodansha USA licenses the manga in English and will release the 10th volume in April 2022. There seem to be no plans to license the manga. Can’t talk to mystical girls spin-off as yet.
