Internet Reacts to Megan Good’s Divorce

After 9 years of marriage, Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin are nearing the end of their glorious marriage. The couple announced the news on December 21, the day after the application was filed divorce.

The famous couple met on the set of romcom 2011 Broom riding. Good is an actress, and Franklin is a producer, motivational speaker, and preacher.

They cited irreconcilable classical differences as the reason for their split.

“After much prayer and deliberation, we have decided to go into our future separately but forever connected,” the couple said in a shared statement. “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. No one is to blame, we believe this is the next best chapter in the growth of our love. We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely grateful to God for the testimony that has been created within us and has blessed our lives together. ”

Over the years, the couple has shared (some might say over-shared) about their marriage with statements of boundless love. Six months ago, the two posted celebratory messages to each other on Instagram.

“To the love of my life, my husband, my life partner, happy anniversaries!!” the Harlem star wrote in a bookmark scroll post. “This makes #9 and forever you go! You are the best decision I have ever made (aside from loving Jesus lol). I love you with everything inside of me. In this life and the next.”

The two even wrote a book about true love together, called Waiting: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love. The book, published in 2015, revealed details about the couple’s courtship and how waiting until marriage to have sex was key to their successful relationship.

The internet has reacted accordingly to this news, with some even saying that Good will make a big comeback from her new role as a single woman.
