For many, the latest fun in traveling is a reminder of the early days of the pandemic, when borders were closed, airports closed and flights grounded for the night. After the discovery of omicrons, the European Union, the United States and other countries nation stopped traveling to South Africa and neighboring countries – the travel ban will largely go into effect on Monday, even as African officials and some public health experts condemned the move. The two countries went even further: Israel banned all foreigners from entering, while Morocco announced it would suspend incoming flights for two weeks.
