Intel announces i9 12900KS at CES 2022

A few days into the Consumer Electronics Show, there were a lot of exciting tech announcements, including one from the CPU giant, Intel.
Starting earlier this week, the Consumer Electronics Show has been packed with announcements from some of the biggest names in the tech industry. Are from God of War PC game footage, with the announcement of entry-level graphics cards coming soon, there’s a lot to get into. Now, as the final moments of the event draw to a close, there is another news from none other than Intel, with the news that a follow-up to its recent i9-12900K processor is on the way.
According to a recent report from PC Gamer, a spokesperson for Intel took the stage at CES 2022 to confirm its latest flagship CPU, the i9-12900KS. As the name suggests, this is a somewhat beefed up variant on its most recent processor, with it being shown on games like Hitman 3, where monitoring software shows it to run about 100MHz faster than its predecessor. At this stage, there doesn’t seem to be any information on pricing or an exact release date.
The Intel i9-12900K launched only recently, and is being considered a pretty powerful CPU, especially when it comes to gaming. This new iteration could be a response to heavyweight AMD, which also announced a new processor recently, the Ryzen 7000 Zen 4. Both corporations appear to be locked in a battle to See which product will be the dominant product at the beginning of this year. And this is all while Intel is also getting ready to market a variety of its Arc graphics cards, which will again pit it against AMD, not to mention Nvidia.
As Intel begins shipping its Alchemy chips to OEMs Ready for production, the California-based tech conglomerate looks to be in for a busy year. Its own GPU is coming soon, Q1 or Q2, and will go against Nvidia’s upcoming RTX cards, which are unlikely not to be the powerful 3090 Ti. While the “blue team” doesn’t appear to be targeting the high-end segment of the market, a roadmap has revealed the possibility of the company releasing new products in its Arc range within the next three or four years. It remains to be seen how well it will perform compared to its competitors.
With i9-12900KS and Alchemist graphics card, Intel is also developing its own image enhancement technology. Super Sampling car has received support from major studios, such as Ubisoft and Kojima Productions. The announcement of its latest i9 CPU is just another piece of hardware that will fight for tech supremacy in the coming months.
