Inspector generals investigate Metro over rail car defects

The Washington Metrorail Security Fee, an company Congress created in 2017 to supervise security after years of lapses, has stated its inspectors weren’t instructed of the defects, as required. Members of Congress, together with Rep. Gerald E. Connolly (D-Va.), Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) and Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.), have referred to as for better accountability and transparency from Metro’s management.
