CAÑON CITY, Colo. (CBS4) — A 35-year-old inmate on the Colorado State Penitentiary, Glen Younger, assaulted one other inmate, 23-year-old Gerardo Banda, on Wednesday, based on a press launch from the Colorado Division of Corrections (DOC).
Banda died after the assault, and native prosecutors are contemplating prices within the incident.
Guards responded to the assaulted which “lasted roughly 15 seconds,” the DOC acknowledged.
Banda was taken by ambulance to St. Thomas Extra Hospital in Cañon Metropolis then flown by medical helicopter to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. He handed away the subsequent day.
