Richard Osman announced he’s engaged to Ingrid Oliver while being interviewed by literary superstar Marian Keyes for The Guardian.
The couple had sparked engagement rumors earlier this year after photos of were released MailOnline showed Ingrid with an emerald ring on her engagement finger, but neither of them commented.
Bestselling author Keyes decided to ask Osman directly about marrying his partner while they were interviewing for the paper.
She asked, “Is it true that you’re getting married?” and he replied, “Yes. Exciting, isn’t it?”
No other information, such as the date of the engagement or when they will get married, is known.
How long has the couple been together?
The couple are said to have met during the Corona lockdown in the summer of 2020.
The subway reports that Oliver moved into Osman’s house in London last year.
On Desert Island Discs’ Christmas 2021 issue, Osman opened up about his now-fiancé and the impact she’s had on his life.
He said: “I’m happy with myself, I have these beautiful children, I’ve met the woman I’ll be with for the rest of my life.”

Richard Osman is a television host, producer, novelist and comedian.
He is the creator and co-host of BBC One’s television quiz show Pointless.
The 51-year-old also hosted BBC Two quiz shows Two Tribes and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
He is the author of two critically acclaimed crime novels, The Thursday Murder Club (2020) and The Man Who Died Twice (2021).
On April 8, 2022, Osman announced it would be him leave pointlessafter 30 series and 1,300 episodes.
At the time, he said he was stepping down from the show so he could focus more on writing, but confirmed he would continue to appear in the spin-off Pointless Celebrities.
Who is Ingrid Oliver?
Ingrid Oliver is an actress and comedian.
She is one half of the Watson & Oliver comic duo and is best known for playing Petronella Osgoo on the BBC TV series Doctor Who.
The 45-year-old has British and German nationality, her mother is Conservative MP Jo Gideon.
She previously appeared on his TV show Richard Osman’s House of Games in September 2021 alongside her now-fiancé.
