Infinity Ward teases Call of Duty 2022
It’s that time of year again. Marketing for Call of Duty 2022 are starting off with gentle first touches, as usual whenever a previous year’s product has been on the market for a few months. Although February is a little earlier than what fans might expect, developer Infinity Ward has dropped the first teaser showing that a Call of Duty The game is on the way.
On Twitter, the official Infinity Ward account claims, quite simply, that “a new generation of Call of Duty coming soon. ” Call of Duty game. Of course, even though there’s little to do here, fans are still speculating on what’s to come.
For the most part, fans expect to see Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, followed by the 2019 reboot of the sub-sectors. Given the way the sub-cycle typically runs, it’s certainly the most likely answer circulating, and it’s in line with other rumors about the thread’s location. Battlefield introduced a steady stream of characters that are likely to appear in Modern Warfare 2, so it’s hard to imagine Infinity Ward abandoning those themes.

That is especially true because Call of Duty Vanguard’s relatively poor performance. While it’s still best selling game of 2021, Vanguard sales fell compared to its predecessor, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. It’s possible that Infinity Ward could throw a curved sphere and release something unexpected, but given the recent negative press, Activision may want a guaranteed hit.
However, there’s one more thing to consider when it comes to Infinity Ward teases. Rumors have spread about a potential Call of Duty Warzone 2, could be released at some point this year. It’s been almost two years since the first version was released, so it looks like fans might be getting a new one. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but Battlefield is a consistent monetizer and it’s time for an updated version to support future integrations.
In the meantime, fans will have to wait for more news. In history, Call of Duty Game was fully revealed in May, although last year’s entry took longer than usual. However, given its relative underperformance, Activision may want to reveal it a little earlier than usual to start generating excitement for it.
