With the holiday and all, things have been a little quieter than usual this week. There’s still a lot going on in the indie MMO space this week, though, including three new entries into IMS. One thing I didn’t list is all of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, so be sure to check out your favorite indie MMOs for any special deals. Anyway, hopefully you’re out of your turkey craze, so let’s get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
City of Titans
MWM took a few seconds out of their schedule to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving. Even though they don’t give us any new updates about CoT, the post suggested that we’ll be getting a big update in the next few weeks.
A week or two ago, Yager Development recruited players to the Centralized Test Team to help with testing as they continued development Cycle. Now they are looking for moderators for Reddit page and Steam Forums. And for anyone with experience as a Community Manager, they are also looking for CMs for both North America and Japan.
Demeter, the sixth major update for Dual universe this year, went to the live server this week. You can read this forum post to learn all about the new features and updates it brings.
In other DU news, now there is a In-game reporting function to submit EULA and Code of Conduct violations. On a more positive note, the NQ team will have live Q&A session above DU Discord on Wednesday, December 1. If you have a question about the Demeter update and you can’t wait for an answer, be sure to join.
You have a chance to see Foxhole Devstream on Tuesday? If not, you can watch Update 47 Preview on their Youtube Channel.
With Update 297, players will have a new weapon to use against their enemies – the lance. Equipped knights will be able to use the spear to deliver a deadly attack, while knights can use the spear in a more defensive stance. On the less violent side, the update also brings the sequel to the UI overhaul – new vendors and trading windows.
The first of two new titles for IMS, Eden Galaxy strives to be the most social MMORPG on the market. You can read all about how MIR developer Cybernetics Corporation intends to create a sci-fi social sandbox MMO on r/MMORPG Developer Spotlight. From there, you can go to Eden Galaxy website and check out their recent developer blogs and sign up for the newsletter.
Mist . Heritage

Everyone is a little less silent Development Log #312 compared to last week, with Michi and Nick covering their weekly activities. A new Community Manager, Lena, has also been introduced.
We’re not the only ones looking for indie titles and thanks to Justin Olivetti at Massive, I have another indie MMO to add to my list. This new addition is Ravendawn, a nostalgic themed pixelart MMO began its third alpha test on Tuesday. Participation in the alpha test requires the purchase of gold or diamonds support packages.
Kingdom of the Mad God
Kensei has been added RotMG Test server a few weeks ago. After receiving player feedback, there is a new version of Kensei for testing. You can read all about the changes, along with all the other happenings for the week, on RotMG Blog.
The stuff I’ve missed from previous weeks usually makes its way into the Loose Ends at the end of this week’s news, but see how? Honor Scar having never been to IMS, I felt I needed to include this with the current news. Somehow I missed Scar of honor famous moment on r/MMORPG Developer Spotlight a few weeks ago. Still in its infancy, SoH looks like a call back to the good old days with a focus on team play, tabbed-targeted combat, and a cosmetic store.
