India at Tokyo Olympics: Indian tennis player Sumit Nagal continued in the second round of the men’s tournament here at the Tokyo Olympics. Nagal on Saturday defeated Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 in the first round.
The first set between Nagal and Istomin was a close-knit affair, and neither of them gave an inch. However, Nagal was able to take a break in the decisive points and as a result he won the first set 6-4. The 23-year-old continued his impulse in the second set and he gave his game to Istomin an inch, not an inch.

Nagal had a comfortable progression in the second set and seemed to end the match seriously, but Istomin came back and the second set was brought in 6-6.
Istomin continued with his impulse and he continued the second set with a score of 7-6 and sent the game to the third set and decided.
Nagal won the third set 6-4 and as a result, he advanced to the next round.
