IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary grades: Jay White confronts Kenny Omega

New Japanese Pro Wrestling Star Jay White Made Wrestling IMPACT debuted at Slammiversary in a puzzling, surreal, and amusing ending to the show.
The NEVER Openweight champion made a shocking appearance late Saturday night’s event after Kenny Omega defeated Sami Callihan to retain the IMPACT World Title in the No Disqualification main event.
The Best Bout Machine was celebrating his win with Don Callis and The Good Brothers’ Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows – who had won the team’s gold medal earlier in the night – when the lights went out.
It was a night of surprises and there was time for another as the Bullet Club logo gave way to White’s and the man himself appeared to the frenzied response from IMPACT loyalists.
He watched the quartet in the ring with the title in hand, entering the ring as fans waited to see if he would respond to their ‘Too sweet’ gesture or confront the belt collector.
The Slammiversary feed was cut off seconds before viewers noticed, but Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp – who was in Nashville – revealed what happened.
He wrote: ‘Juice and Finlay came out and attacked the Switchblade. Switchblade hits Juice and gets out. ‘
Elsewhere on the show, Thunder Rosa appeared as challenger Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship, with the latter taking hold of the gold medal in a stunning match.
However, her celebration was cut short like NWA’s Mickie James appeared and extended the invite for the all-female EmPowerrr show next month, though Virtuosa turned down the offer – only to respond with a hard kick.
There were more surprises earlier also on the night, when Chelsea Green made her IMPACT Wrestling back to team up with her fiance Matt Cardona in a winning attempt against Tenille Dashwood and Brian Myers.
Even before WWE No Way star Jose appeared, but he and Fallah Barr couldn’t stop the Good Brothers from winning the gold.
Meanwhile, Chris Sabin stunned Moose and Josh Alexander still won the X-Division Title in a phenomenal Ultimate X match to start the evening in style.
