UFC 8th lightweight fighter, Dan Hooker will return to Featherweight, after losing three of his last four fights at Lightweight. The featherweight division is ruled by Hooker’s teammates and training partners, Alexander Volkanovski.

Dan Hooker made his UFC debut at Featherweight but after a 3-3 record at the start of his career, Hooker has moved into lightweight, and now he’s aiming to step down once again. This could even lead to a fight between Volkanovski and Dan Hooker in the near future.

Talking about the same thing in his latest interview with The All-Star, Alexander Volkanovski said, “He’s a light adult and you know he’s done it before but you just sit there like, ‘How would he do it?’ At the end of the day, you want whatever’s best for anyone, especially your teammates. If he thinks it’s for the best, he’s shown that he can do it, if he still thinks he’s going to be healthy there then good for them. ”

“Obviously people will say, ‘Well, what if you have to meet?’ We’ll take care of that when that happens. But at the same time, it’s just like any other division. That’s not to say that because he’s in this department I’m not allowed to go there, it’s not fair. ” {H / t BJ Penn}

“If it gets there, it will get there, If not, all is well,” Alexander Volkanovski believes Dan Hooker is not a threat to him right now.

UFC Featherweight Champion, Alexander Volkanovski recently defended his title against Brian Ortega at the main event of UFC 266 and Hooker will be back in the tournament, meaning he’ll need at least three or four wins before challenging Volkanovski for the title.

That is why Alexander Volkanovski does not mind a possible war with him. he continued, “If we had to cross that path, we would, Obviously, we’re teammates and we’d support each other helping each other in camps doing all that stuff.”

“If we have to meet, we have to meet and you worry about that then. But that is not our goal. It’s not like, ‘Oh, sh*t. We need to start planning games for each other. ‘ Not just given. If it gets there, it will get there. Otherwise, all is well”. {H/t BJ Penn}
