Certain royal refusals followed the Telegraph Report that the queen may be required to contribute substantial sums if Prince Andrew finally settled with Virginia Roberts Giuffre in an attempt to repay her. The Queen is said to have supported her son’s legal bills with annual income from her private Duchy of Lancaster estate, which “recently increased by £1.5 million to over £23 million” , Telegraph report.
