White House coronavirus adviser Dr Anthony Fauci on Sunday continued to call himself scientific as he rebuked those who had the courage to criticize him.

During a Sunday appearance on the CBS show “Facing the nation,” Fauci lamented the politicization of the US response to COVID-19, blaming Republicans who disagreed with him on this politicization.

In his interview, he said that since the dawn when he appeared on the national stage as America battled COVID-19, “There’s been a lot of politicization of that. And I think there’s a lot of misinformation, misinformation and outright lies about that. And that’s really unfortunate.”

“My work is completely focused on doing what I can with the talent and influence I have to make scientific advances that protect the health of the American public. I know what my job is,” he said.

“Senator Cruz told the attorney general that you should be prosecuted,” Brennan said, referring to the Texas Republican’s position that Fauci lied to Congress related to increased function research in China.

“Yes. I have to laugh about that. Should I be prosecuted? What happened on January 6, Senator?” he said.

“Do you think this makes you a scapegoat to deviate from President Trump?” Brennan then asked.

“Of course, you have to sleep to not figure it out,” he said.

“Well, there are a lot Republican Party Senators are targeting this,” Brennan said.

“That’s okay. I’m just doing my job, and I’m going to save lives, and they’re going to lie,” he said.

Fauci later said that anyone who was against him was against science.

“I mean, anyone who examines it carefully realizes that there is a distinctly unscientific taste to this thing. So if they stand up and criticize science, no one will know what they’re talking about. But if they got up and actually aimed the bullets at Tony Fauci, then people could tell there was a person there. There’s a face, there’s a voice you can recognize, you see him on television.
