Humorous Overwatch video spotlight ignites players’ race to health pack
Overwatch was released in 2016 and since then, players have shared all kinds of entertaining videos with the gaming community. From skilful plays to unlucky moments, there’s no shortage of highlights from the match. Recently, one player shared an encounter that turned the team-based 6v6 shooter into a life-or-death race.
In a Reddit post, a user by the name of Htial12 shared a clip of the enjoyable but unfortunate experience they had while playing Hanzo in Overwatch. A series of unlucky events took place on The control map is called Oasis. While trying to capture points on the Gardens portion of the map, Htial12 was hit by an Ashe explosive. Burned and slowly losing health, Hanzo players went on a frantic race to get Health Packs near the target.
As they raced to replenish their rapidly depleting health bar, the camera switched to third-person view to get a better view of the action. In addition, the urgency of the situation is heightened when there are some ingenious edits and music pounding in the video. Although their health is declining, it seems that the player will reach the intermediate area. However, as often happens in Overwatch, things are about to take an unexpected turn for the worst.
Just when it looks like player Hanzo will get the Health Pack, an allied D.Va player angle rotation. To Htial12’s horror, the friendly tank snatched the Health Pack right in front of them. Stripped of the necessary healing, the player Hanzo fell to the floor and was killed by the flames. To add some humor to the situation, player D.Va later returned after seeing Hanzo’s lifeless corpse next to the Health Pack’s location.
This clip posted by Htial12 has attracted the attention of many people Members of the Overwatch community on Reddit. With an incredible 23.8k upvotes, many people find this video hilarious. Also, some commented that the editing and the music made it even better. One said: ‘It literally made me laugh when he landed directly. Furthermore, others say that the best part is player D.Va’s admission at the end of the clip. “I love the way D.Va stops looking at you for a second then shrugs ‘oh shit’ and goes back to the fight,” another gamer noted.
