Brigham Young Cougars #18 have enjoyed home comfort in their last two games, but now they have to hit the streets. They will play the Utah Utes at 9:30 p.m. ET last Saturday at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Both teams enter the game bolstered by victories in their previous matches.

The cougars have to be even more grateful after their game against the Texas Southern Tigers last Wednesday. BYU took a cozy 81-64 win over Texas Southern. BYU can attribute much of their success to Te’Jon Lucas, who had 18 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, although not a landslide match, but the showdown between Utah and Tulsa Golden Storm last week was still quite decisive as Utah finished with a 72-58 victory. Five Utes players score in double digits: center Branden Carlson (15), guard David Jenkins Jr. (13), guard Rollie is worse (12), guard Lazar Stefanovic (12), and protect Both Gach (11).

Overcoming any buzzer beaters, the Cougars are expected to win a tight contest. Those who burned by picking them up over last Wednesday’s spread may want to note that the team hasn’t beaten back games to the margin this season.

BYU had enough points to win and then some against Utah when the two teams previously met last December, 82-64. The rematch could be a bit tougher for BYU as the team won’t have the home field advantage. We’ll see if the change of location makes a difference.
