How to watch the Pistons vs. Heat: Live stream, TV channel, Tuesday NBA game start time

Who’s playing?

Miami @ Detroit

Current record: Miami 11-6; Detroit 4-12

What to know

The Miami Heat will play the Detroit Pistons at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena after a few days off. Given that both teams lost in their most recent match, both have a little more incentive to go into this one.

It ended but there were no cigars for the Heat as they dropped 103-100 against the Washington Wizards this past Saturday. Protection point Kyle Lowry had a rather forgettable game, ending with just seven points in his 3-to-12 shootout in his 36 minutes on the field.

Meanwhile, Detroit are in very impressive distance but were unable to close the gap on Sunday when they fell 121-116 to the Los Angeles Lakers. Detroit was up 99-84 at the end of the third quarter but couldn’t hold on to its lead. Power forward Jerami Grant put in a great effort for the losing side as he shot 5 to 9 from the city center and finished with 36 points.

Miami is the favorite team in this match, with a 9.5 victory point difference. If their 12-5 record against the spread is anything to go by, the outlook looks good for bets placed on them.

Miami is now 11-6 while Detroit sits at 4-12. Two defensive stats to keep in mind when watching: The Heat entered with an average of just 102.4 allowed points per game, third best in the league. Less enviably, the Pistons allowed their opponents to shoot an average of 48.10% off the floor, which is the highest rate of fire allowed in the tournament. So the cards are definitely stacked against Detroit.
