How to use Poke Radar in brilliant diamond and shining pearl
To use Poke Radar in Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls, the player must reach a tall grass. If looking for a Shiny that can only spawn in that area, head to a lawn at this location. Activate the radar and the four grass squares will start moving.
If the trainer is only looking for Pokemon specific to the Poke Radar, they can check any tile on the shaking lawn. However, to catch Shinies and high IV requires the player to have a sequence of activities.
How to use Poke Radar to catch Shiny in Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls, players should follow these steps:
Buy 50-60 Shots / Super Repels and 50-60 good PokeBalls, preferably Ball Repeats, but Quick Balls are also good.
Select string counter Poketch application in Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls.
Claim every item, except Poke Radar.
Go to the selected lawn and activate Repel / Super Repel and save the game.
Make sure autosave is turned off.
Use Poke Radar to show 4 shaking lawns and walk into any of them.
If the trainer wants to get a shiny Pokemon that has appeared, catch it with PokeBall.
The Chain Counter app will now show the number 1 and the player will only go to the shaking grass at least 4 blocks away from them.
The next Pokemon will be the previously caught Pokemon, so repeat the same process to continue building the chain.
Once the sequence reaches 35-40, the player should keep resetting the Poke Radar to try to find Shiny opportunities, rather than walking into the lawns.
Players must walk 50 steps every time they want to reset their Poke Radar. This is all they need to do to keep looking for a Shiny Pokemon after the chain reaches 35-40.
It is important to note that even after following all of the following steps on how to use Poke Radar, there is still a 7% chance the chain can be broken. This resets the odds of getting Shiny back to 1 in 4096. Reaching chain 40 is ideal, as it gives a 1 in 99 chance of getting Shiny. If the chain breaks, or if the player doesn’t come across the Pokemon they want to hunt on the first attempt, simply reload the previous save.
Players will know they will encounter a Shiny if the patch of grass has sparkles on it. When the patch has more leaves and is brighter green, this indicates that the Pokemon will have a hidden move. A sequence of 20, 30, 40, and 100 rewards 1, 2, 3, and 5 max IVs, respectively. When the player completes the search for a particular catch, they can close the Poker screen in Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls.
This method seems complicated, but using Poke Radar is actually easier than the original versions, like the updated ways to use Surf and Fly into Brilliant diamond and Shining pearls.
