How to unlock the Skull Cave in Stardew Valley

Skull Cavern is one of the most dangerous destinations in Stardew Valley, and players will have to prove themselves before entering.

The world of Stardew Valley has expanded massively over the past six years, filling indie farm RPGs with dozens of hours of content. The story does not end with Pelican Town and players will find themselves journeying to some remote locations in search of new adventures. One of Stardew ValleyIts most dangerous destination is the Skull Cavern, which holds many loot along with hordes of mighty monsters.

Go Skull Cavern is not easy, and new players probably won’t get it until at least the second half of their first year on the farm. At the start of the game, players won’t even be able to get outside of the Skull Cavern, let alone go down deep, and there’s some work to do before it unlocks.

Unlock Calico Desert in Stardew Valley

Before players can access Skull Cavern in Stardew Valley, they’ll need to go to the Calico Desert first. This is one of the few areas of the map that is not immediately available to the player and can only be reached by repairing the desert bus.

To repair the bus, the player must contribute the full 42,500g to the Vault Packs in Stardew Valley community Center or pay for the restored bus on the Joja Community Development Form for 40,000g. Once either of these is done, Pam will be on hand to take the player to the Calico Desert between 10:10am and 5pm each day. The fare is 500g and includes a return trip to Pelican Town.

Upon reaching the Calico Desert, players will be able to find the entrance to the Skull Cavern in the northwest of the map.

Unfortunately, finding the Skull Cavern is only the first step towards unlocking it in Stardew Valley. The entrance to the Cavern is locked and the player will need the skull key import. This key is found on the lowest level of Pelican Town’s Mines, on Level 120. Mines are the first battle area most players will encounter. Stardew Valley, but challenges gradually as they go deeper.

Players will have to fight to overcome them all 120 floors of mine To achieve the Skull Key, get valuable experience along the way. Skull Cavern is very similar to Mines in terms of gameplay, albeit with a spike in difficulty. So players should prepare for a tough fight by equipping a good weapon and some food support.
