How to overcome shields in Halo Infinite
To break the barrier in Halo Infinite, the player must use a Plasma weapon, such as the Pulse Carbine or the Plasma Grenades. If fighting an enemy is named as difficult Boss Bassus in Halo Infinite, the player will know they still have the shield if a white bar is above their head.
While fighting normal enemies, the player can tell if they have a shield or not by the impact of their armor when shooting at them. This is usually blue, but it can vary depending on the type of enemy, such as Jackals, who have a noticeable shield they hold in their hands.
Another way to tell if an enemy is covered is if Kinetics or Power Weapons don’t deal as much damage as they usually do. Plasma weapons are also great for destroying fuel bunkers very quickly, which are targets located in places like Forge of Teas in Halo Infinite.
All Plasma Weapons in Halo Infinite
There are six Plasma Weapons in Halo Infinite:
- Plasma Pistol
- Pulse Carbine
- Ravager
- Stalker Rifles
- Kim
- Plasma Grenades
Players can change grenades in Halo Infinite by pressing left on the keyboard d and then pressing the direction of the grenade they want. Press “N” to switch to the previous grenade and “B” to switch to the next grenade if playing on keyboard and mouse.
The best all-round Plasma Weapon in Halo Infinite is Pulse Carbine. It’s a mid-range gun with a small range and a relatively fast rate of fire. The Stalker Rifle can be used to take out shielded enemies at a distance, like the Jackal Sniper. However, Ravager is not recommended to penetrate shields. It takes a long time to charge and it is easy to miss a charge.
Plasma Pistols have the ability to increase fire rate if RT is held on the controller. This will penetrate the shield faster than spamming its main projectile, but the player must be more precise with their shots. Finally, Needler is really good at taking down tough, unshielded enemies, like Boss Tremonius in Halo Infinite, rather than lowering the shield.
