To lower the roof of the car Forza Horizon 5, players need to click and hold the L3 button on the controller or press G on the PC. G is the default key binding for PC players. If it has been changed or not working for some reason, players should check their personal settings to see which key they have mapped to lower the roof. To raise the roof again, simply press the same button.

Only a select number of vehicles can lower their roofs in the game. If the player ever sees a small icon in the bottom right corner of the screen that looks like a convertible, this indicates that the roof can be lowered. Another icon will appear in the same area if the vehicle has start control in Forza Horizon 5.

There are four convertibles in Forza Horizon 5 where the player can lower the hood of the:

  • Ferrari Portofino 2018.

  • Mercedes AMG One life 2021.

  • 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.

  • McLaren Z20S Spider 2019.

However, there is a malfunction in Forza Horizon 5 that prevents some convertibles from lowering their roofs. This is the development team’s “Known Issues” list. Due to persistent online issues affecting arcade-style racing sims, this conversion bug is probably not a priority for Playground Games.

One of the worst problems is the current state of Forza Horizon 5’s Arcade mode. This requires players to work together and complete challenges that may involve drifting, performing jumps, or driving at fast speeds. It’s a fun activity to earn Forzathon Points while working, but with the game state not loading other players participating in the event, it’s impossible to complete solo.

Is different multiplayer mode in Forza Horizon 5 are also having issues, but once those kinks are resolved, hopefully smaller bugs will be visible. More convertibles with the ability to lower the roof may even be added to the game in the future.
