What is the golden key in Borderlands 3?
The Golden Key is a coveted key created from Transfer code, specially used to open a special chest on the upper level of Sanctuary. The special chest is located opposite the Quick Travel Station. It was a shiny gold chest decorated with a skull symbol. Using the key to open the chest will provide some randomly generated loot; often in the form of powerful new weapons.

How to do the infinite golden key glitch in Borderlands 3
While there are many means of obtaining a Golden Key, many will still find it easier and more convenient to have an instant, readily available, unlimited supply of keys that can be refilled at any time. . Read on to discover how this nifty exploit can be performed:
- The Borderlands 3 Golden Key’s unlimited breakdown begins by navigating to Social tab through the main menu of the game. From here, players will access Shift Code Tab and send a BL3 Shift code in the specified space as usual.
- Just enter the first three codes listed above to make this work.
- Now, players can open Borderlands 3 mailbox and change the year BL3 Gold Key.
- The bottom right of the screen will show a key icon with the number “5” to indicate which five keys are in the player’s possession.
- With The Golden Keys have been collected, which players will now need make a backup.
- Then the player should navigate to Settings -> Manage App Saved Data -> System Storage Saved Data -> Copy to USB Storage Device. As one might suspect, this will copy the data containing the Gold Key to the device.

- Make sure there is a USB device loaded into the console with some free space.
- Make sure that only “user settings” copied, not “save characters.”
