How to get to the Hermit Village in the Elden Ring

The Hermit Village can be found southwest of Volcano Manor on Mount Gelmir, but you need to travel a long way to reach it.

There are two ways to get to the Hermit Village. The easiest way is to find half of the Medals for the Grand Lift of Dectus and take a risk-free path towards the village. If you haven’t activated the Grand Lift of Dectus, then you should take the second path to the Hermit Village, which includes a boss fight.

We highly recommend collecting the Medal halves from Fort Farogh and Fort Haight and taking the Altus Plateau route as it’s much easier and faster. At the very least, you won’t face any bosses along the way to collect the Medal halves.

Once you’ve activated the lift and reached the Altus Plateau, look for the Grace Site in Erdtree-Gazing Hill north of the lift and then follow the red path shown in the image below until you reach the roundabout. Round Blue, it’s the Hermit Village. Remember that you will encounter two bosses on your way to the village, but you can ignore them and continue on your way.
