How to get to the converted Fringe tower in Elden Ring & Complete Puzzle

Elden Ring can be filled with intense boss battles and large-scale exploration, but there are also plenty of puzzles to complete, with some puzzles more complicated than others.

One of the more difficult puzzles in Elden Ring can be found inside the Convert Fringe Tower, as the player is required to unlock a sealed door to continue.

How to get to the transformation fringe tower within Elden

The Convert Fringe Tower can be found in Liurnia of the Lakes. The tower is probably located at the most northeastern point of the area. To get a visual of where to find the tower, we’ve circled the location on the map below.

How to complete the puzzle and unlock the seal

Once inside the Convert Fringe Tower, the player will notice a sealed door that cannot be opened. To open the door, the player will need to perform the Erudition Gesture while wearing the Karolos Glinstone Crown, performing this move will open the sealed entrance.

Before the seal can be unlocked, the player must first obtain the Glinstone Key from within the Academy. This key can be located on top of a large chandelier, which you can access by entering through the top of the building and dropping down on the large support beams.

The next step is to give the Glinstone Key to Thops, who can be found in the Church of Irth, this is how the player obtains the Erudition Gesture.

Finally, the player will need to kill the crab inside the academy to receive the Karalos Glinstone Crown. Once the steps are complete, return to the seal and use the Erudition Gesture while wearing the Crown to unlock the door.
