It’s been two years since crowds flocked to Worthy Farm due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but now over 200,000 fans are expected to attend the biggest festival event of 2022.
This year’s headliners include the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Diana Ross, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish.
The BBC will be covering the festival in full, including the release of a live stream for the first time, which will be available on BBC i-Player.
There have been concerns over travel disruptions, with the biggest train strike due to take place this week and hitting fans planning to travel by train.
Here’s everything you need to know about where Glastonbury is and more importantly, how to get there.
Where does the Glastonbury Festival take place?
The Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.
Where is the worthy farm?
Worthy Farm is in Pilton, Somerset, not Glastonbury as the name might suggest.
The location does not have a set zip code, but the festival offers a few different zip codes for people traveling to the location.
Those arriving to the festival via the A303 and A37 are advised to use postcode TA11 7DP.
Those coming from Wales should use the A39, from the North West the A361 should use postcode BA6 9XE and those coming from Swindon should use BA4 4LY.
How big is the Glastonbury sitemap?
Glastonbury takes place on a huge site at Worthy Farm.
The festival site includes over 31 areas including the main stages, campsites, restrooms, bars, ATMs and medical tents.
The area currently seats a whopping 210,000 people, which can give you the feeling of being in a small town.
Every year, event organizers put together a sitemap to help festival-goers get to know each other before they arrive.

How to get to Glastonbury by train, car or bus?
Getting to Glastonbury will be difficult this year as half of all trains going to the festival are canceled due to the rail strike.
Here are some ways you can travel to Glastonbury 2022:
The train to Glastonbury was once a popular route but this year with the train strike it doesn’t seem like a reliable option with half the scheduled trains being cancelled.
The closest train station to the festival is Castle Cary, but after the train journey, festival-goers still need to take a shuttle bus to the site, which often means waiting in queues.
There will be trains from London Paddington, Cardiff Central, Bath Spa, Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton.
However, there are no available trains operating from Dorset or Cornwall.
Widespread disruption is expected to occur during both strike days and non-strike days as they deal with the aftermath.
Those traveling to Glastonbury by train must expect packed carriages, delays and a lot of uncertainty.
Here’s the good news: there are bus services to Glastonbury that will take you straight to the festival.
National Express operates buses from 70 locations across the UK, taking you straight to the festival site.
You can also catch local buses from Bath or Bristol bus stations.
If you are driving, you can also drive your car to Glastonbury.
The festival encourages car sharing for everyone traveling to the festival.
You need to buy a car pack pass which costs £60.
Please note that your GPS will not take you directly to the festival site, but to the festival signs. Follow this to find the parking lot.
