Players are starting to explore the Hisuian region in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Shiny hunters are keeping an eye on Shiny Pokémon — and receiving Shiny Charms can increase their chances of finding success.
Early signs of Shiny odds for Pokémon are pretty promising for those interested in trying to complete a Shiny Pokédex. The base scale for Shiny Pokémon still seems to be the standard 1/4096 that most recent Pokémon titles have. But to increase Shiny odds, Bright Charms are usually the first step.
How and where to get Shiny Charm in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
To get the Shiny Charm, you must complete your Pokédex and reach Research Level 10 on all Pokémon in the Pokédex. This is a big quest: there are 242 Pokémon in the Pokédex, and they all need to be researched up to level 10 before you can get the Shiny Charm.
After a Pokémon’s research level is 10, the Pokédex entry is considered complete. However, the rare spawning of some Pokémon and the few quests required to research Pokémon to level 10 can make meeting the requirements for a Shiny Charm an extremely serious task.
Once you have completed the Pokédex after finishing the game, return to the Jubilife Village and head to the Galaxy Hall. Talk to the Professor, and a cutscene will play. During the cutscene, you will receive the Amulet.
According to Serebii, the base ratio for Shiny Pokémon is 1/4096. It is then downgraded to 1/2048 when all Pokémon in the Pokédex are researched to level 10, and lowered to 1/1024 when the research is complete. With Shiny Charm, the rate is even lower. Shiny Charm plus all research Pokémon at level 10 is a 1/819 chance, while perfect research of all Pokémon in the Pokédex plus Shiny Charm results in a 1/585 chance.
