How to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna in Pokémon: Legends Arceus

Pokémon: Legends Arceus introduces a new Hisuian evolution for the bear Pokémon Ursaring – here are all the details on how to evolve it into Ursaluna.

It’s an exciting time for Pokémon fans with the launch of Pokémon: Legends Arceus! A new area means new locations and Pokémon to explore, including a new evolution for Ursaring.

This new evolution is Ursaluna, a Ground and Normal-type Pokémon. It is immune to Electric and Ghost moves. and can be used as a mount to travel around the map. That, along with its dependable mover, makes Ursaluna a powerful companion in battle. Keep reading to find out how to develop yourself!

To evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna, you first need to find a Peat Block. Peat blocks are a new item in Pokémon, especially for the Teddiursa/Ursaring/Ursaluna evolutionary lineage. The best place to look for Peat Blocks is in the Crimson Mirelands.

You will only need one Peat Block to evolve Ursaring, but this item tends to be rarer. It will be buried beneath the swamps and pools of the Crimson Mirelands, so you will need the help of one of the Pokémon to look for. Use your Ursaring as a mount to run around the Crimson Mirelands, and the red-yellow semicircle indicator will let you know when you can “Treasure Digging”.

Completing the action “Treasure Digging” usually gives you an item, but it can take a while to find the Peat Block. Just keep searching the area around you until you finally find one. Luckily, once you do, the next part will come easily!

As you might expect from a moon-themed Pokémon, Ursaring can only evolve into Ursaluna during the full moon in the game. Continuing to rest at the Base and check out the skies will likely be the fastest way to the night of the full moon.

Once that moon is high in the sky, go to your Satchel storage and select Peat Blocks to hit “Use”. The small Poké Ball icon after Ursaring’s name will start flashing yellow and an icon that says “Compatible” will appear next to Ursaring’s name.

Select Ursaring and the game will tell you “Ursaring is ready to grow!” Select “Do it now!” will begin the evolution sequence, and you will be watched as your beloved Ursaring evolves into Ursaluna.
