How to evolve Tangela into Tangrowth in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Many Pokemon in Pokemon Legend: Arceus can only be developed by trading them with a friend, as this automatically starts the development process. However, there are select Pokemon that must follow a more specific process to evolve them, Tangela is one of the few Pokemon that require certain steps to be taken before they can be evolved into Tangrowth.

To get started, you need to go out and capture Tangela in person, which can be found in the following locations:

  • Crimson Mirelands: Gapejaw Bog
  • Cobalt Coastlands: Crossing the slope

Or of course you can get Tangela by trading with a friend. Regardless, once you’ve got your hands on one, you’ll need to level up Tangela up to level 24, at which point it will learn the ‘Ancient Power’ move. After Tangela learns this move, leveling up evolves it into Tangrowth.

It’s important to remember that both Tangela and Tangrowth are Grass-type Pokemon, which means they will take more damage than usual from Fly, Poison, Bug, Fire, and Ice attacks from other Pokemon. But will also take less damage from Ground, Water, Grass, and Electric attacks.
