How to evolve Haunter to get Gengar in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Legend: Arceus has finally arrived and fans are overjoyed at all of the new and returning Pokemon available in the game, including ones like Haunter and its evolved form, Gengar.

Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar are some of the most popular Pokemon to get, but players need to know how they can evolve that Pokemon up to Gengar first. So here’s everything you need to know.

How to Evolve Haunter into Gengar in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Before taking the steps to evolve a Haunter into a Gangar, the player needs to first capture a Gastly (and then evolve it into a Haunter at level 25). You can find these at the following locations:

• Crimson Mirelands: Golden Lowland, Volcano Tunnel, Red Canyon, Covered Ruins
• Coronet Plateau: Bolderoll Ravine, Sacred Plaza, Celestica Ruins
• Alabaster Icelands: Bonechill waste

Or, to save time, you can directly capture the Defender at the following locations in the game:

• Crimson Mirelands: Gapejaw Bog, Scarlet Bog, Covered Ruins, Cottonsedge Prairie
• Coronet Plateau: Bolderoll Ravine, Sacred Plaza, Celestica Ruins
• Alabaster Icelands: Bonechill waste

Once you’ve got your hands on Haunter, the process of evolving it into a Gengar is a straightforward process. Take a friend and trade Haunter for one of their other Pokemon, at which point evolution will begin. Of course, we recommend trading with a friend you can trust as you will need to trade the Pokemon again to get your Gengar back.

If you don’t have anyone to deal with, you can do another process. Just go to Jubilife Village and talk to Simona at the Trading Post, then you’ll be able to buy items from her vendor. Buy the Link Cable and give it to Haunter to evolve it into Gengar.
