How to do a jumpthrow link in CS:GO

Getting to know the details of each map is a long and arduous task. But with a jumpthrow link, it’s just much easier.

Jumping and throwing are essential to creating the perfect smoke. No need to jump, the distance is simply not there. But the problem lies in the inconsistency. Timing your jump and drop your grenade even a millisecond apart can throw it for kilometers.

That’s where a jumpthrow link comes in. It removes the inconsistency factor and makes every jumpthrow valid. Line up and use your jumpbind even hundreds of times, and it will land exactly where it was.

To create and activate a jumpthrow link, you need to set up a profile first. This may sound difficult, but it is quite simple.

All you have to do is navigate to C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Global Offensivecsgocfg, create a text file and name it autoexec.cfg. Once you’ve done this, open it and paste the following:

• alias “+ jumpthrow” “+ jump; -attack”
• alias “-jumpthrow” “-jump”
• bind “[V]”+ Jump Arrow

Next, click on file and save. If you don’t care about V for jumpthrow, you can choose any key you like. Some good choices include the alt key, the four or five mouse button.

Once you’ve saved the text file, right click CS GO in Steam, click Properties, Set Launch Options and write “+ execute autoexec.cfg”. This will activate your profile each time you upload the game.

Your jumpbind should now be good to go.
