How to create Star Shards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legend: Arceus brings a lot of new items into the mix, but some classics from previous games also return and have been reworked to accommodate the ancient Hisui region and different gameplay mechanics.

Previously Star Pieces were mainly used as items to sell for high prices in the store, or sometimes used for specific side quests as a currency for other items or gameplay modifiers . This is still true in Legend: Arceusas it can be sold for large amount in game to any vendor.

Just like most of the items listed as craftable in the game, you’ll need to have the Star Shards crafting recipe before you can craft your own. This will be worth a lot more, as you can sell a Star Fragment for $5,000, which is more than you’ll get for selling off the individual parts used for crafting.

To get the recipe, just visit Anvin at Jubilife Craftworks, right next to the Galaxy Hall.

The recipe itself will cost 10,000 PokéDollars to purchase, but if you’re going to be exploring often it’s a decent price. Here’s what you’ll need to craft a Star Shard once you get the recipe from Anvin:

  • Three red shards
  • Three blue shards
  • Three pieces of green
  • One Stardust

Red, blue, and green shards mainly spawn when rare items drop to distort space-time, where they will be scattered across the ground and you can hoard them. Stardust can be found in any material gem that you have your Pokémon break while exploring, or on the floor in a space-time distortion.

Once you have all the materials, craft your Star Shards and start selling. You should start taking profits very quickly.

Star Shards can also be found at various points in the game, such as spawning when rare items drop in space-time distortion.
