In Brilliant diamond In the event, the player can encounter Lucas Hat Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup in the wild. The only way to encounter the Hat of Dawn variants is to complete the event-specific Field Research, which will give you one encounter with each person starting to wear the opposite hat.

Roles will change in Shining pearls The event on November 18 will see Dawn Hat Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup spawn in the wild, and Lucas Hatvariants emerge through other means.

So your best bet to collect all three of the Dawn Hats and Lucas is to participate in both parts of the celebration, or just for one but make sure you complete the Field Research first. when it ends.
