To catch the first generation starter Pokémon, you’ll first need to complete the game’s main story and get the National Pokédex. Once you’ve done this and have access to the Battle Area, get there by boat from the Swowpoint City piers.

When you arrive, head to the Grand Underground. This new area is where you’ll find these Pokémon, and as you’d expect, they can be found in their respective biomes.

For Charmander, go to the Orange area on the map, which is the Fire Biome. The Squirtle can be found in the Blue Water type area and the Bulbasaur in the Green Grass Biome.

You’ll also find other generation starters in the field, so there’s a lot to explore and capture.
