The tides are changing with the announcement of the Battlefield Portal.
DICE and EA announced a new breakout mode in EA Live Streaming, known simply as Battle Portal.
NS Battle Portal is set to showcase maps, modes, weapons, vehicles and more from the past Battlefield title and into an epic sandbox experience mode. But that’s not all, DICE has also introduced a Rules Editor with a new mode, giving players a chance to create their own epic matches.

BATTLEFIELD GATE IS CHANGING THE GAME
Obviously Battle Portal is going to be something special, and it really offers a new way to bring remastered content into the game. Gone are the days of incorporating remakes into the core experience, instead, Battlefield 2042 has taken a completely new approach and it looks revolutionary.
Almost certainly after the announcement that Call of Duty Developers are reviewing Battle Portal and roll with pencil in ideas for a future headline. This is the ultimate community-driven sandbox experience, with players creating their own unique modes to show off their full potential. Battlefield community.
You’ve been able to see content creators play this mode with their fans on a grand scale, having fun with various sandbox moments. It is entirely possible that this mode will become Battlefield’s most popular, with the Battlefield buzz seemingly taking it to the next level once the Portal announces it.
It seems like Battle Portal the format is the future of not only FPS games, but certainly the future for franchises with many years-long titles like Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, Cry away, and more.

NS Battle Portal will release with a total of 13 maps, 7 from the base game and 6 classic remakes. The Battle of the Bulge, El Alamein, Valparaiso, Port of Arica, the Caspian Border, and the Noshahr Canal will all return in Battlefield 2042.
Prior to Battlefield Weapons, vehicles, and gadgets will also return, with over 40 different weapons, 30 gadgets, and 40 different vehicles available to players from day one. What’s even more exciting about the sandbox experience is that DICE has confirmed that more maps, weapons, vehicles, gadgets, and more will also be coming after the game’s launch. So while we’ve had a huge amount of content from day one, the mode will continue to evolve throughout the life of the game.
Unfortunately, DICE did not comment on whether or not Battle Portal will be available in Battlefield 2042 The beta, was announced in September, but there is still some hope. Chances are DICE will want to test this experience out as much as possible, because while it’s good on paper, in practice it looks like it might be the mode with the most bugs and glitches.
Battlefield 2042 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on October 22.
