How MTG Arena’s August 2021 ranked season works

The month of August inside Magic: The Gathering Enviornment may have two ranked seasons resulting from a significant system replace. 

A complete of two ranked MTG Enviornment seasons are scheduled to happen within the month of August. The primary will run from July 31 to Aug. 10, with the second going down from Aug. 10 to 31. Gamers who’re within the high 500 Mythic tier for the Aug. 10 ranked reset will earn an invitation to compete at a Qualifier Weekend match. The second reset will embody the traditional high 1,200 on the ranked Mythic tier.

Gamers who rank as much as the Diamond tier is not going to be demoted following the primary reset. Mythic ranked gamers will drop to Diamond. All gamers will earn rewards to each ranked seasons, with rewards from the primary season dropping after the Aug. 10 MTG Enviornment replace. 

MTG Enviornment ranked season one

Season one of many MTG Enviornment ranked season will run from July 31 to Aug. 10.

• Bronze: One AFR booster pack
• Silver: One AFR booster pack and 500 gold
• Gold: Two AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, and a Magic Missile card model
• Platinum: Three AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, a Magic Missile card model, and a Triumphant Adventurer card model
• Diamond: 4 AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, a Magic Missile card model, and a Triumphant Adventurer card model
• Mythic: 5 AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, a Magic Missile card model, and a Triumphant Adventurer card model

MTG Enviornment ranked season two

Season two of the MTG Enviornment ranked season will run from Aug. 10 to 31.

• Bronze: One AFR booster pack
• Silver: One AFR booster pack and 500 gold
• Gold: Two AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, and a Chaos Channeler card model
• Platinum:  Three AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, a Chaos Channeler card model, and a Skeletal Swarming card model
• Diamond: 4 AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, a Chaos Channeler card model, and a Skeletal Swarming card model
• Mythic: 5 AFR booster packs, 1,000 gold, a Chaos Channeler card model, and a Skeletal Swarming card model

Diamond-ranked gamers on the finish of the primary August season “could lose pips at that tier,” in keeping with Wizards of the Coast. All MTG Enviornment techniques are scheduled to begin again up at round 1pm CT on Aug. 10. Delays could push again the official restart time.
