How might Otto’s impact in Honkai be related to Kamisato Ayato in Genshin

Here are some thoughts and predictions about a possible or missing link between Otto Apocalypse’s Honkai Impact and Kamisato Ayato in The Genshin effect.

miHoYo just disclosure That Ayato in The Genshin effect will be voiced by Akira Ishida in the Japanese dub. Which means he has the same seiyuu (Japanese voice actor) as Otto in Honkai.

Everything miHoYo does has an otaku meaning or reference behind it. Many of the characters created by miHoyo are inspired by other famous characters.

One of many examples in The Genshin effect is Kaeya, who is very similar to Yuri, the main character of Tales of Vesperia. Both are voiced by Kousuke Toriumi and have similar personalities. Meanwhile, Diluc, Kaeya’s adoptive brother, friend and rival, also has some of Yuri’s personality traits and story elements incorporated into him. Like how they were both the leader of a “guild” and acting out of the law.

How miHoYo can, or CANNOT, connect Otto and Ayato

First, it’s important to note that Ayato isn’t actually going to be an Otto cast. Unless miHoYo is trolling us and it turns out that Ayato is a blond, white man who doesn’t look like Ayaka.

Not only looks wise, but both characters in the story will certainly be different as well. Short story, Otto is one of the leaders of mankind’s war against the Houkai in Honkai Impact, and is one of the most important characters in the story.

Meanwhile, Ayato was “just” an important faction leader in Inazuma. We probably won’t hear about Ayato in upcoming chapters that don’t involve Ayaka, Ei, or other Inazuma characters like Itto.

It is possible that Ayato is intricately connected with some of the secrets of the Teyva world. Or the war against the Abyss Order. But nothing so far points in that direction. We may have more theoretical material or even confirmation when Ayato is finally released.
